PHILCONSTRUCT 2020 Goes Virtual

As advertised on their website.

PHILCONSTRUCT returns with a twist since its postponement due to mass gathering restrictions implemented by the Philippine government. On July 7, 2020, the management team behind the annual construction equipment and building materials exhibition announced its plan to digitize the event for everyone’s safety.

PHILCONSTRUCT’s first-ever virtual edition will feature numerous online shows and virtual booths from both foreign and local companies that have been regular attendees. Held alongside is the HVAC/R Philippines VX exhibit. This will be showcasing air and cooling technologies, particularly relevant in this climate. HVAC tech is known to help destroy and repel viruses from entering interior environments.

According to Overall Event Chairman Ronaldo Elpano Jr., show handlers and followers alike are excited on seeing how the event will go.

“Doing this virtual edition of PHILCONSTRUCT is just another way of showing the industry that there are more ways to do business now. Of course, we hope we can once again do the physical shows, but we believe virtual is here to stay. PCA is all in with Global-Link in going virtual.”, Mr. Elpano Jr stated.

The virtual event will be coinciding with a physical show held at the SMX Convention Center Manila. Viewers can look forward to an online Technoforum, which focuses on sharing technical knowledge and discussing new ideas with subject-matter experts from around the world.

“Technoforum is becoming bigger and more substantial each year. I am excited to see how the online edition of this segment will come through.”, said Technoforum Chairman Ruben Cueto

Supporters of PHILCONSTRUCT can also expect the return of the Interschool Interior Design Competition this year. Estilo De Vida, co-organized by the Philippine Construction Association (PCA) and the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers, Inc. (PIID), aims to give interior design students a chance to test out their skills and learn from new technologies.

PHILCONSTRUCT will be held from November 5 to 11, 2020. Visitors will only be able to chat live with exhibitors on November 5-9, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Registration is free and interaction with the virtual booths is encouraged for those who are interested.
